"Muhammadiyah as one of the pioneers of the country and the fillers of this country, before independence and after independence, has a two-dimensional contribution, namely internally for Muhammadiyah it is to carry out its mandate, but nationally it fills independence, fills the meaningofindependent,"said Dr. M. Busyro Muqaddas. SH., M.Hum. when delivering the message of Muhammadiyah's Central Chairperson (PP) in the 1st Community Empowerment Forum agenda, Friday (10/1).
Busyro continued, as was the case in implementing the decisions of the 47th Congress in Makassar in 2015 which had obliterated the vision of the Community Empowerment Council (MPM) as a strategic pillar of the Muhammadiyah movement, at least the meaningful content of the decision was the development oftheirwings. Namely, the wing of the Tajdid movement is filled with the preaching Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Mungkar. "Not only in religious life but also in the social, economic, educational and other fields," he continued.
"Actually a movement like MPM is a form of movements that are not technical, merely mechanical. But there is a spirit, thespirit is monotheism. Thus, all of that works in a system movement. This system is then imbued. "This soul is the spirit of monotheism as in Mars Muhammadiyah which is one nuance with our national anthem, towake up its soul and its bodyis impossiblewithout monotheism," he explained. Friday (10/1).
Correspondingly, Dr. M. Nurul Yamin M.Si, as the chairperson of MPM PP Muhammadiyah explained that this meeting was the third national meeting, which, at the first meeting it was agreed that this nation was experiencing various problems which had to be resolved. Among them is the problem of inequality that spreads to all corners, whether in cities or villages.
"At least there are five concerns and commitment of MPM to the five strategic pillars of the empowerment movement, namely, Integrated Agriculture, Small and Micro Enterprises (SMEs), Disability Groups, Workers and Fishermen, Special Communities and 3T Regions (Frontier, Outermost and Backward)," explained Nurul Yamin in his speech.
The empowerment movement has given birth to various empowerment actions. Like the establishment of the Muhammadiyah Community of Peasants (Jatam), the empowerment of fishermen with the Progressing Fishermen Village (KNB) approach, for example, the Wonokerto fishing village, Pekalongan Regency, Central Java. As well as community empowerment in the 3 T area which also integrates and synergizes various empowerment actions in the fields of education, agriculture, fishermen, socially holistically as is done in Kampung Warmon Kokoda, West Papua.
"I thank you for the trust given by the assembly, in order to facilitate this event at UMM. Hopefully, this event will also be a part of empowerment in order to promote a more powerful Muhammadiyah,"explained Dr. H. Fauzan, M.Pd, as the UMMRector.
When it was called Muhammadiyah, continued Fauzan, it was actually an organization that contained a degree of empowerment. All elements of Muhammadiyah must contain levels of empowerment. "Because Muhammadiyah is an organization, an Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Mungkar movement," said Fauzan on the 9th floorofHall Gkb IV. (joh)
