Furthermore, Yusril said, the world of rafting in Indonesia was undergoing development. Yusril hoped that the conducting of this competition could help build the growth of the rafting tourism industry that spurred the emergence of interests of various community groups to enjoy rafting. "It's unfortunate because this sport is only known by a handful of people. It is hoped that with this activity it can introduce rafting sports to the general public to be more widely known, "Yusril said.

The competition would be held at the lake Campus III UMM. Earlier in October 2019, the lake was intended for the National Unmanned Fast Boat Contest (KKCTBN). At that time, UMM was specifically entrusted by the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education as the host of this prestigious national level event.
