Working in a multinational company is one of the big dreams of most people. This is experienced by University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Alumni Safrilla Putri Camendini while working in Public Accounting Firm (KAP) Firma Ernst and Young (EY) Indonesia. The Head office of EY is in London, England and they achieve The Big Four Accounting Firms by International Accounting Bulletin.
The Public Accounting Firm (KAP) is a permitted business entity by the Minister of Finance as a forum for public accountants to provide their services. “I’ am the only UMM alumni who register in EY was very proud with my alma mater, because I can face other famous campuses alumni,” said Safrilla while interviewed via WhatsApp, Wednesday (17/7) afternoon.
This daughter of Setu Setyawan M.M one of the UMM teaching staff said, while she undergoes the entrance test procedure, there were so many registrants from other famous campuses alumni. Such as University of Indonesia (UI), Bina Nusantara University (Binus), and Pelita Harapan University (UPH). “Moreover, some of them came from Singapore, but still, I have to be optimistic,” said Safrilla.

Safrilla will be appointed as Assurance / Junior Auditing Staff after passing the Probation process or internship employee. During the Probation period in EY, Putri admitted that there were many useful skills that she learned during her studies at UMM for a professional environment such as the character education and social skills development. In addition, as an auditor, of course, the basic knowledge of Accounting and Audit.
This second child of two siblings at the time of graduation received a GPA of 3.94 as the best graduate. During the study, Safrila also joined student’s organizations in improving her singing talent, it is UMM Student Activity Unit (UKM) Gita Surya. Putri also enhances herself in an international organization AIESEC UMM to develop her leadership potention.

Active in an organization, she continued, is a big asset to her acceptance in EY. “In AIESEC UMM for example, not just train us to talk in English, but our soft skill also trained. This competence is very influential and assisted me while interviewed. Not just soft skill, we are also taught how to speak and answer various interview questions very well,” said Safrilla.
“As part of the big family of White Campus, I want my friend in UMM to keep on exploring the things they want to pursue also study hard and endeavor. Secondly, we must be someone who has high optimism and confidence. Also the last is to get close with the Almighty in every single activity,” said Safrilla who graduated in Aptil 2019. (joh)
