Even though we born in Indonesia, most of the Indonesian people did not implement the good and correct use of Bahasa Indonesia. The unique part of this campaign of good and correct use of Bahasa Indonesia was done by foreign students from Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) in Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.
These students from several different countries were served with the beauty of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Malang District, East Java. Not just enjoying the sunrise and the Bromo mountain sea of sands, the foreign students were also interacting with other visitors and train their Bahasa fluency.
“Besides introducing the tourist attraction in Indonesia, the purpose of this event was to improve their Bahasa skill. They are also assigned to interview some visitors and the local community by using Bahasa,” said Faizin, M.Pd as the Head of Internationalization of BIPA Program Division UMM, Monday (21/10).

These foreign students were also giving away some roses to the visitors and also the local citizens. Each rose had a word from the Indonesia Dictionary (KBBI). The purpose was to correct editorially towards some popular words but incorrect in the writing.
According to one of the foreign student Tukazban Zeynalova, she said that she was happy with the beauty of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. “I was so happy with Mount Bromo, especially the sunrise and when riding the Jeep. Every activity was very fun,” said this Azerbaijan students happily in Bahasa.
In her opinion, this good and correct use of the Bahasa Indonesia campaign improved her skill in speaking Bahasa. This learning model by directly come to the field by interacting with the local community made her understand better the use of words in Bahasa. Mainly KBBI Bahasa Indonesia and enhanced spelling (EYD).

Previously, the BIPA students were also visited several tourist destinations in Malang, such as Paralayang Batu and Jodipan Colorful Village. The plan in near future, they will visit Banyuwangi to learn more about tourism and culture. Such as White Crater Tourism and Using Tribe in Banyuwangi. (joh)
