The 55th University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Dies Natalis was celebrated uniquely. It is because the anniversary celebration of the White Campus was by holding Professional Golf Tournament (26/10). This event was participated by 150 participants from various backgrounds. This prestigious event was held at Araya Golf Club, Malang.
There were 10 contested categories. Started from Overall Best Gross, Overall Best Net, until skill category. The total prizes were fascinating with a total of 1,5 Billion Rupiahs. The prize for Hole in One winner will bring home Fortuner until Harley Davidson.
Not just Fortuner who won by Hadi Sukrianto, the prize was more fascinating with Toyota Yaris on the podium. The grand prizes were 5 Motorcycle, 2 LED TV and 5 Mountain Bike with many other electronics door prizes. These prizes were presented by the sponsors and those who contributed to this event's success.
"We ask for your blessing, hopefully, this 55 years of UMM is not old age but young age. We not only want to live another hundred years, but we want to live another thousand years,"said UMM Rector Dr. Fauzan MPd in his remarks. The agenda began by hitting the smoke balls by Rector Fauzan, accompanied by Deputy Rector II, Dr. Nazaruddin Malik MSi.
Furthermore, RectorFauzan also appreciated all those who contributed to the success of the event. They are Bank BNI, Bank Jatim, Gunung Kawi, Bank Mandiri, Esa Unggul, MNC Asset, Sudimoro, Gading Murni, Bank BCA, Bank Syariah Mandiri, Willys, Karya Intan Sejati, Panca Utama, Telkom, and Nurjaya Variasi.

Furthermore, the event which was considered to only belong to the upper class also aimed at bringing Golf sports closer to the community. Besides of course getting closer to the White Campus with all parties or stakeholders who have contributed to raise and contribute positively to the big name of the White Campus, UMM.
In addition to professional golf tournaments, the Dies Natalis series is also filled with academic activities and reasoning. Like the Student Creativity Program (PKM) competition. In the end, there was a reception night of the 55th Anniversary of UMM that would present a row of capital artists with a colossal instrument packaging at the end of November 2019. (joh)
