UMM Fikes Made Moon Charity for Disability

Carrying the theme of Moon Generation, namely Morality, Open-Minded, Optimistic, and Nationalist, the Faculty of Health Sciences (Fikes) University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) wanted to raise national issues that were developing.

Not only from campus, the presenters were also brought from agencies from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) to provide education and prevention of drugs, and also Indonesian national army (TNI) for the implementation of good state life within the scope of the campus and the community.

The Chief of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Fikes UMM M. Dodik Prastiyo explained that in this Pesmaba Moon Charity was also held by bringing speakers from the Adi Gunawan Institute.

"There is the giving of donations as a form of social action carried out by freshmen Fikes," he said on the sidelines of the event of Pesmaba Fikes, which was attended by approximately 700 new students. For information, the Adi Gunawan Institute was an institution that houses the disabled, especially the visually impaired.

The purpose of holding charity was to instil gratitude to the freshmen and could also be applied in the community’s lives. "Mainly (more concerned) with disabilities," added Dodik on the third day, Wednesday (9/4), the organization of Pesmaba.

Furthermore, the organization of Pesmaba Fikes UMM was held to produce the next generation of the moral nation, having a broad insight and a spirit of optimism for new students by always prioritizing a high sense of nationalism. (Win)
