The gait of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) to provide assistance to the regions through maximizing local potential had been recognized by many parties. Appreciation and cooperation were not only with fellow educational institutions but also from elements of government. This time collaborated with Jombang Regency (28/7).
The signing was carried out directly by the UMM Rector, Dr. H. Fauzan, M.Pd and Regent of Jombang, Hj. Mundjidah Wahab. UMM-Jombang collaborated in the field of education and training, the field of research, the field of community service, the field of improving the quality of human resources and the field of improving the application and development of technology.
Fauzan conveyed if the cooperation will improve the quality of all fields so that it was increasingly rapid. "Many domains can be developed together," he said while giving a speech. Among them was the education of information technology expertise in the context of facing Industry 4.0 challenges.

In this cooperation, UMM was asked specifically to help improve human resource skills in the agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries sectors of the Jombang community. This was seen as strategic to be improved because it involved economic potential which was Jombang was rich in the agriculture sector.
In addition, UMM will also work in the education sector. The program that will be given was maximizing the ability of teachers and Islamic boarding school teachers to master information technology. According to Fauzan, this sector had become very important to create higher quality education in the digital era.

UMM will also guide Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) to reduce unemployment. Through the efforts of developing UKM, UMM hoped to give the best contribution to the community. Not only that, but UMM will also try to handle vagabond kids in order to have a bright future.
Previously, UMM had cooperated with the government of Jombang Regency, precisely in the era of Prof. Dr. Muhajir Effendy, M.A.P when he was the Rector. The cooperation allowed UMM to establish UMM Faculty of Medicine (FK) laboratories in Jombang Hospital. (Win)
