Responding to the noise of the execution of the Presidential Election 2019, Rector of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd. baulked at the negative action that was based on the difference in choice.
"Whatever the form of vigilant actions, of course, we strongly disagree," Rector Fauzan said when interviewed casually in his room on Thursday (6/20) afternoon.
According to him, Indonesia is a legal state. All parties involved in the dispute must comply with applicable law. "Moreover, it is very detrimental to society," he said.

“We are in a legal state, if there is something that burdensome or detrimental to the parties, I think law instrument had been prepared.” Said Fauzan.
"The recent riots that took place at the Constitutional Court, KPU and Bawaslu, I think it was an act of people who did not understand the law in Indonesia," he said.
According to him, if there were various parties who object to the results of the presidential election, then they must take the prescribed path and do not violate regulations and laws.

"The trial decision on the dispute over the results of the 2019 Election which is still being handled by the Constitutional Court in Jakarta is expected to be accepted by parties with great heart and prioritizing unity," he said.
The community should not be easily provoked. "So that what the Court decides later, all parties must accept and be relieved in the Constitutional Court's decision," said Fauzan.
Fauzan then encouraged all elements of the nation to participate in sowing the values of unity on all forms of differences to maintain the integrity of the NKRI.
Higher education, he said, also had a strategic role in knitting Indonesia's diversity, which he considered increasingly alarming and feared will lead to disintegration.(Win)
