“All of you must give pride for the institution and your own region by giving your best also not making any trouble,” said Dr. Fauzan M.Pd as a University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Rector. That call delivered by Fauzan in his opening remarks of Regional Student Sports Week (POMDA) East Java Regional Futsal 2019, Monday (22/7).
This year, the Futsal POMDA regulations are even stricter than the previous years. This is confirmed by Dr. Haris Thofly, SH., M.Hum as the chief executive in his remarks at the Dome Hall. In accordance with the assignment letter from the East Java Indonesian Student Sports Board (BAPOMI), UMM appointed to be the executor and in charge of the Futsal Regional Selection (Selekda).
The event which will be held in four days (July 22-25) is very total in implementing the rules. "I do not want any unwanted bad thing to be happened as before, I will enforce strict sanctions," Haris said while giving a speech. The committee has formed a Discipline Committee (Komdis) and Appeals Committee (Komding) to deal with the matter.

The UMM Law Faculty lecturer emphasized that if there were participants who made violations like an anarchist act which led to riots, then not only sanctions in the form of fines were imposed. They will be prohibited to compete in all tournaments affiliated with PSSI and East Java Futsal Association. Haris also mentioned the position of students as intellectuals.
"What students have is integrity and intellectuality. With that educational background, it means that you have to show that you are a professional game that plays supportive and prioritizes the brain rather than muscle,"said Haris. Furthermore, Haris mentionedall elements of the competition, both officials and players towinin the championship which would bring the good name of East Java.

From the eight participating zones or rayon, East Java POMDA this time was participated by seven teams, both male and female teams who were the champions of the Java Team zones. The women's team consists of Unesa, Unikama, Unej, UM, Unair, UTM, and UB. While the male team consists of teams from national and private universities such as UNP, UB, UMM, Unirow, Narotama, UTM, and Unej.
"We really appreciate UMM for being able to hold 2 series of these events very well, both in the Zone or Rayon level and currently ongoing, namely the East Java Regional level," said Dr. Mahmud Yunus, M.Kes as the representative of the East Java Bapomi when referring to the preparation of the National Student Sports Week (POMNAS) which will take place in Jakarta in mid-September.
