Enliven Ramadan, UMM Held Social Service in Scout Village

In order to enliven the month of Ramadhan 1440 Hijriah, the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) carried out Social Service activities as a concern of the White Campus towards the community. This time, the location chosen was Lebakharjo Village, Ampel Gading District, Malang Regency.

This village which was nicknamed the Scout Village has got trust several times to hold international activities especially the organization of Scout camps since the 1970s. It has been proven by three times the world level Scouting event has been held in this village.

In addition to social services, there was also free treatment. This activity was also supported by UMM Hospital. There was also educational tourism for children by attending Smart Cars support from UMM Public Relations. In this activity, hundreds of underprivileged people took advantage of this activity.

According to one resident, Rumini revealed that she was very happy and enthusiastic in participating in this rarely held activity. "Of course, I’m happy. Usually, if I seek treatment far and must pay. With this, I can get free treatment, get basic needs again, "said the 67-year-old woman, expressing her excitement.

Not only that but in this activity also was a religious lecture delivered by Imamul Hakim, S.E., M.Sh., while waiting for the time to breaking the fast. In his lecture, Imamul said that the intention and purpose here was to establish silaturrahmiwith the community. (Win)
