University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) awarded Minister of Finance (Menkeu) RI Sri Mulyani Indrawati, SE., M.S., Ph.D. as a promoter of sharia economy advancement in Indonesia. The awarding which took place on Thursday (10/10) at the UMM Dome Hall was because Sri Mulyani was considered in holding a foundation for the promotion of the Islamic Economy. Right now, Sri Mulyani herself was appointed as the Head of the Association of Islamic Economics Experts (IAEI) for the 2019-2023 period.
"Mrs. Sri Mulyani realizing the development of the quality of human resources, increased research capacity, supported policies that support the development of Islamic economics, encouraged synergies between academics, industry, and government or authorities in developing the Islamic economy, and supported efforts to build an inclusive face of Islam and in line with the spirit of diversity in the frame of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia,"said UMM ViceRector I Prof. Dr. Syamsul Arifin while reading the Decree.

In his speech the UMM Rector said, the White Campus of UMM always invited national figures from various backgrounds and even international figures to inspire the students, to be future figures of this nation. "She is a hero who is resilient and can live in any leadership. Mr. SBY's leadership and Mr. Jokowi's leadership. Hopefully, in the future she will also be included in the next cabinet," said Rector Fauzan.
There is one thing, continued Fauzan, that perhaps students need to be learned. "In addition to her progress and success, she is a religious person, her Monday-Thursday fasting does not stop. Therefore I apologize that the tables are clean and there are only flower pots. There is no food on the table because we all respect her and she is the Srikandi who in our opinion is extraordinary inside and outside,"said Fauzan in front of 7000 UMM students.

The minister who was awarded as the world's best minister in the 2018 World Government Summit advised thousands of UMM students in their scientific oration that human resources quality and innovation are the deciding factors in order to realize the vision of Indonesia GoldenAge2045. "The government will always be committed to encouraging improvements in the quality of human resources through various affirmative steps and breakthrough policy programs,"she said.
UMM must continue to take party keep on working, not easily satisfied with its achievements, and always demanding for new achievements. So that it can provide solutions to various problems of the nation. "It is hoped that UMM will not only educate students' hard skills, cognitive abilities and intellectual abilities. But it also forms soft skills, among others in the form of character with integrity. And don't forget, don't ever get tired of loving this country,"concluded Sri, who is also a member of the White Campus honorary family. (joh)
