UMM Spread Their KKN Students in 6 Countries

University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) together with Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM) underwent an International Community Service Program (KKN). This International KKN participated by 97 students were held in six countries namely Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Cambodia, and Taiwan.

Students will serve for six weeks and create programs in three fields.Those arethe fields of environment, education, and health. Prof. Dr. Yus Mochammad Cholily, M.Si, Director of DPPM, said that students who will depart to be a useful individual.

In addition, he also hopes after the students did their KKN, they can be a future changer. "You really have to go abroad so you can be grateful to have Indonesia and UMM," he said at the release on Thursday (4/7). Indonesia is the most beautiful paradise that must be preserved by increasing public awareness.

Doing KKN abroad also widening knowledge. It also becomes an evaluation process and a comparison of things that can be brought and applied in Indonesia. Such as being on time, cleanliness, queue culture and keeping promises. "Do not bring bad andnot suitable things, for example, promiscuity," Yus said.

For this Mathematics Professor, UMM under the Persyarikatan Muhammadiyah has entrusted the mandate to each White Campus student to always bebeneficial with others. “So, every displayed behavior is a mirror of Indonesian students and especially UMM students,” Yus said.

Meanwhile, the Regular semester KKN 2019/2020, UMM released 4835 students. Dr. Sidiq Sunaryo, SH., M.Si., M.Hum, Deputy Chancellor III emphasized that students who will take part in KKN are expected to maintain the good name of White Campus, maintain discipline and appreciate the time. (joh)
