The Leader of The Fatah-Hamas Talk About Palestinian Referral

Kairo (ANTARA News) - Politburo Chief of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Khaled Meshaal and Palestinian President and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas, Wednesday night, began their meeting in Cairo on inter-Palestinian reconciliation, according to Egypt's official news agency, MENA.

Their talks, sponsored by Egypt, aimed at implementing the reconciliation agreement signed in 2011 between Fatah and Hamas.

Wednesday morning, Egyptian President Mohamed Moursi held separate talks with Meshaal and Abbas on the issue of admission to refresh files, reports Xinhua - which monitored ANTARA News here on Thursday morning.

Hamas won the Palestinian parliamentary elections in 2006, and seized the Gaza Strip by force a year later and curb the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) - Fatah leaders - in the West Bank.

In May 2011, Hamas and Fatah signed a reconciliation agreement in Cairo Egypt mediated. Under the deal, the two movements agreed to form a transitional government composed of technocrats figures.

Later, the two Palestinian factions agreed to hold elections in May 2012.

In December 2012, the leaders of the Islamic Resistance Movement and Fatah agreed to honestly implement the Egyptian-brokered reconciliation deal it.
