International Conference on Strengthening the Moslem Community in the South-East Asia Region toward ASEAN Community 2015
Introduction
Moslemcommunities in Southeast Asia haveastrategic position. As far as the number is concerned, Moslems inSoutheast Asia turn out to bethe majority group.With such a large number, Moslems in Southeast Asia are supposed to play importantrolesinsome aspects, such as; social, culture, politics, economic.Thus, the position and strategic role in Southeast Asia Moslems need to be strengthenedto meet theASEAN Community in 2015. In this regardin mind, Postgraduate Program of Muhammadiyah University of Malang takesthe initiative toorganize the International Conference on"Strengthening the Moslem community in the South-EastAsia Region towardASEAN Community 2015".
Inthis conference, the organizers will invite Moslem leaders in Southeast Asia to deliver the development of Islam in their regional perspectivesand the rolestheycanplay to meet the ASEAN Community 2015.

Papers may be written in Indonesian, Malay, Arabic, and English with the following main theme: Strengthening the Moslem Community in the South-EastAsia Region towardASEAN Community 2015. Since thethemeis stillbroad, the paperscontributors are expected toassociate their papersin a more specificissue relevant with the ASEANlocal region/country.

The committee will review the selected papers and send the notification or announcement to paper contributors through the website.
