Social Welfare (Kesos) Department (Prodi) Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) University of Muhamadiyah Malang (UMM) is believed to be the host in the Acceptance of Social Workers Community Service Unit (Sakti Peksos) which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Republic of Indonesia (Ministry of Social Affairs RI).

The series of tests that will be carried out includingwritten tests and interviews held at the Office of the Social Welfare Department and supervised directly by Dr. Oman Sukmana, M.Si. as the head of the Indonesian Social Welfare and Social Work Education Association (ASPEKSI) as well as the head of the UMM Social Welfare study program.
"In Malang itself, there are still no social workers. Judging from the complexity ratio of the number of cases reported in regencies and cities, it is very unfortunate that Malang district itself still has high reports on child criminal justice cases without social workers," Oman explained when met in his room on Tuesday (12/17).
The purpose of holding the Social Workers' Community Self Organization is because the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Division of the Directorate of Social Rehabilitation for Children is looking for participants to be recruited specifically to handle services related to children who need special protection, disability, and children who are in conflict with the law. "The holding of the Social Service Social Work selection by UMM Social Welfare Department shows that we are able to prepare prospective social workers in relevant government agencies, such as the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, also the Ministry of Health," said Oman.
