In order to encourage creativity and aspirations among students in the world of education, the Abdul Malik Fadjar University of Muhammadiyah Malang's Intelligent Reading House (RBC) Institute organized a short video competition. The event, themed "Andai Aku Menjadi Menteri Pendidikan (If I Were the Minister of Education)," took place over three months, and the winners were announced in mid-January. Hari Obbie, the owner of the YouTube account Kamujugabisa, participated as a judge.
The committee coordinator, Manda Danastri, explained that the short video competition successfully attracted more than 30 participants from high schools (SMA) and vocational schools (SMK) across Indonesia. Participants were given the opportunity to express their ideas, thoughts, and hopes regarding the ideal role of a Minister of Education.
"This competition also serves as a platform for Indonesian students to voice their aspirations regarding the education system in Indonesia," she emphasized.

Manda also expressed her pride in the enthusiasm and dedication of high school and vocational school students. They can convey positive messages related to education, contributing to positive change and substantial innovation.
The RBC UMM video competition is also expected to inspire students to think creatively and proactively to express their ideas. Thus, they play a role in shaping a better future for Indonesia.
Diva, a student from SMA Negeri 1 Polewali, won this Short Video Competition, with the creative video titled 'Generasi yang Berkualitas Butuh Pendidikan yang Berkualitas (Quality Generations Require Quality Education).' In her video, Diva addressed the crucial issue of the quality of education needed by the future generation. The success of a nation is determined by the quality of education in that country.

Meanwhile, the runner-up position was secured by Rayyan, a student from MBS Al-Amin Bojonegoro. He created an inspiring video titled 'Framing a Better Education for Indonesia.' Rayyan captured the judges' attention with his vision for collective efforts to enhance the quality of education in Indonesia. In addition to these two winners, there were three entertainment category winners: the favourite category, the cinematic most viewed category, and the unique category.
The closing event of the Short Video Competition was enthusiastically held at the Abdul Malik Fadjar RBC Institute, featuring a talk show with Hariobbie. The winners were announced and awarded as a form of appreciation for their creativity and insightful perspectives on the world of education. (*wil/fajr)
