To cultivate leadership qualities and demonstrate community service, the University of Muhammadiyah Malang's (UMM) Aisyiyah Branch Leadership (PCA) organized Baitul Arqam for the new 2023-2027 leadership. The event spanned two days, commencing on May 9.
Masiyah Kholmi, MM. Ak. CA, Chairperson of PCA UMM, stated that the goal of Baitul Arqom for PCA UMM is to realize and enhance leadership qualities characterized by integrity, commitment, militancy, zeal, high resilience, and professionalism. Furthermore, participants were expected to have a correct understanding of the Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah movements' ideologies.
"Like a plant, they must have strong roots and shoots that are not easily shaken. PCA UMM is expected to be a driving force within the Aisyiyah organization, enlightening the nation's civilization and contributing towards Indonesia Emas 2045," said the accounting lecturer.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Vina Salviana Darvina Soedarwo, M.Si, the Executive Chairperson of Baitul Arqam, explained several activities conducted over the two days. These included strengthening the Articles of Association (AD), Household Regulations (ART), and Aisyiyah's vision and mission at the grassroots level. On the second day, the agenda featured congregational morning prayers, morning studies, and an outbound activity to strengthen bonds among officials.
As part of their contribution towards Indonesia Emas, PCA UMM plans to engage in community service initiatives and collaborate to advance higher education. These programs will be integrated within higher education institutions and implemented in kindergarten or elementary school levels to realize Aisyiyah's vision of empowering women towards a happy, prosperous, and just society based on Islamic teachings.

Prof. Dr. Tri Sulistyaningsih, M.Si, Vice Rector V of UMM, expressed pride in the successful organization of Baitul Arqam for PCA UMM officials. This event serves as a platform to strengthen relationships and foster mutual understanding among participants, while also serving as a tangible implementation for future community engagement. "Baitul Arqam marks the beginning of PCA UMM's journey to dedicate themselves to the community through their concrete efforts," she concluded. (tri/wil/fajr)
