Muhammadiyah is not only a community organization but also a value and way of life. Drs conveyed this. H. Wakidi, Secretary of the Daily Board of Trustees (BPH) of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) at the Baitul Arqam event for Employees and Lecturers. The plan was offline with strict health protocols at the UMM Theater Dome last Tuesday (12/3).
Wakidi, appointed as a speaker, explained that Muhammadiyah must be considered a value and a way of life. This is stated in two main ideas that are ideological and strategic, as for ideologically affirms the basic teachings of Islam, namely the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as a rational basis. Meanwhile, a strategic mindset has a form of struggle that moves dynamically and can adapt to situations and conditions.
"The two mindsets must be one of the basics for Muhammadiyah citizens in expanding da'wah and spreading its benefits. Not only his relationship with Allah SWT but also his relationship with society. Inviting to goodness and preventing evil and creating a truly Islamic society," he added.

Wakidi considered that Muhammadiyah should not be viewed as a mere community organization. However, it must be understood as a value and a way of life for its citizens. That way, the goals and direction of people's lives become more focused.
On the same occasion, Pradana Boy ZTF, S.Ag., MA., Ph.D., said that the essence of Muhammadiyah is divided into three. First namely, Muhammadiyah is a movement that focuses on Islamic, tajdid (renewal), da'wah, and social activities. Then the second is Muhammadiyah as a thought, namely how the organization founded by Ahmad Dahlan was able to become the estuary of knowledge. Be it religious, social, cultural, economic, or other sciences.

"Then the third one is Muhammadiyah as an organization, namely how Muhammadiyah is neatly organized and structured. Committed to achieving common goals and ideals and spreading benefits and goodness to the people," said Boy.
According to Boy, his nickname, Muhammadiyah, must continue to move forward as a Muslim movement. He is providing recitations that are acceptable to the general public. Likewise, the tajdid movement has to renew the da'wah model, which so far still seems formal and tends to be rigid. (apg/Haq/Wil)
