In another performance of the Sky Show, the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) also presented a marching band to entertain the participants and cheerleaders at the Opening of the 48th Muhammadiyah Congress. Held on November 20, 2022, the UMM team performed several songs with exciting instruments and formations at the Manahan Stadium, Solo.
This performance also collaborated with two other Muhammadiyah universities. One of the UMM marching band members, Navisha Narenda, said they often did joint exercises. There have been three joint exercises carried out in Solo and Yogyakarta. It is to increase cohesiveness, mainly since this performance results from collaboration.
“I am very proud to be able to appear on a big stage and be witnessed by the President of Indonesia, the Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Aisyiyah, and Muhammadiyah residents worldwide. Even though I was nervous, thank God because of the support from many parties, our performance was satisfactory,” said the woman who became the field commander of UMM.

Navisha is also grateful that her choice to study at UMM was not in vain. In addition to the quality curriculum and lectures, White Campus also provides student activities to accommodate the potential of its students. One of them is him and his talent in marching band.
On the other hand, Frendy Aru Fantiro, M.Pd. as the supervisor of the UMM marching band UKM, expressed his pride regarding UMM's participation in the opening of the 48th congress. He was grateful that his students were given the trust and opportunity to perform in front of millions of Muhammadiyah residents.
"Although this UKM has just been inaugurated, the quality and efforts made are excellent. Student friends are earnest in preparing everything. Formed in 2018, Marching UMM had been on hiatus for two years due to the pandemic, and finally, it was inaugurated in 2022," explained the lecturer from Malang.
