Meet the UMM Graduates who are Full of Achievements

Cepi Novia Tristantri, an outstanding graduate from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Muhammadiyah Malang University (UMM), has recently made a name for herself among the university's graduates. This beautiful student, who graduated from the International Relations program, achieved numerous accomplishments during her studies. At the graduation ceremony held on November 19, Cepi was recognized as one of the top graduates.

She is known as a young individual full of activity and talent. During her time at UMM, she participated in an internship with the Center of Excellence (CoE), took part in student exchange programs abroad, and was a recipient of the Djarum Plus scholarship. These achievements reflect her dedication to reaching her goals.

She expressed that becoming the top graduate of her faculty was the most proud achievement for her. There was a time when she doubted whether an International Relations student could achieve the highest recognition in her faculty. However, with hard work and the support of her parents and professors, she was able to demonstrate her abilities and capabilities.

Cepi also earned other accolades, such as winning a national essay competition and becoming a semifinalist in a national business plan competition. Additionally, her ability to write scientific articles is commendable. To date, she has published four scientific articles in Sinta 3.

One of the most memorable experiences for Cepi was participating in the CoE professional class in paradiplomacy. Through this program, she had the opportunity to intern at various institutions, including the Bappedalitbang of Probolinggo City, PT. PLN Nusantara Power Paiton Power Generation Unit, and PT POMI Paiton (Paiton Operation and Maintenance Indonesia). This experience provided her with valuable insights into the working world, as well as an understanding of the dynamics in state-owned enterprises, government, and private sectors.

"I hope this CoE program will continue at UMM because it provides so many benefits. Students truly acquire skills that are aligned with the job market's needs," she said.

As an active student, Cepi shared her time management tips. She applies a prioritization system in her daily activities, dividing time between urgent and important tasks. Additionally, she diligently notes all the activities she needs to do to avoid forgetting them. Behind all her successes, Cepi revealed that her greatest motivation comes from her parents. "I want to make my parents happy while they are still here, as they are getting older," she said.

Cepi also reminded that everyone faces difficulties and failures at some point. However, what matters most is not giving up and continuing to strive. "Achievement is not only measured by academic performance but also by non-academic accomplishments. If you want to succeed, do good things sincerely and wholeheartedly.
