Indonesia is ranked 62 out of 70 countries in the literacy aspect. Seeing this, the Thursday Reading Car (KaCa) of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was present among the students in increasing literacy and enthusiasm for reading. Not alone, the Mobil KaCa team also collaborated with the UMM Teaching Campus team to visit the Junior High School (SMP) PGRI 1 Tajinan, Malang Regency, on Thursday (13/10). The Teaching Campus is part of the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program promoted by the Ministry of Education and Culture-Ristek RI.
Hundreds of students welcomed and were happy with the arrival of these two teams. Not only junior high school students but also Sumbersuko State Elementary School (SDN) children also gain knowledge. Rahmawati Khadijah Maro, M.P.Ed. as the UMM Teaching Campus coordinator, said that this program's presence was a form of equal distribution of education carried out by the university through teaching and learning activities, educational games, to bringing in KaCa cars.

"Hopefully, this program can help increase students' motivation to go to school and study. So there is a sense of longing and pleasure when studying at school. Not even forced and lazy. Also, students are expected to be able to run the MBKM Teaching Campus well and with full heart," added the UMM English Study Program lecturer.
It filled the series of events with a series of games, reading classes, and additional fun material. Even children are invited and taught to create educational content and become content creators. Dinda Nur Aisyah gave the material and made the children enthusiastic.
Aica, her nickname, explains that It can turn any hobby or idea into the content. Either that can upload it on social media or Youtube. She, who is also a member of the UMM digital team, also invites students to not only become content consumers but also to be creators.
On the other hand, Dra. Hartini, the principal of SMP PGRI 1 Tajinan, admitted that he was happy with the visit to the teaching campus and the KaCa car. Since the existence of this program, the students have been more enthusiastic about learning, even with interest in reading which continues to grow with hundreds of books provided.

"This is certainly a beneficial activity. Moreover, today's children dislike reading and doing educational activities. I hope that in the months ahead, programs like this can be held again," she added, hopeful.
Meanwhile, one of the UMM Campus teaching teams, Zildan Afif Muhidin, explained that this activity has been running since last August and will end in December. He is not alone because he is accompanied by other campus students who work hand in hand in creating exciting programs.
"Fortunately, we were accompanied by Mobil KaCa, which made the children more interested in joining this program. Hopefully, what we do can be useful for the children and encourage them to continue to be motivated in learning," he said. (apg/haq/wil)
