The Mechanical Engineering Study Program at University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) once again demonstrates its commitment to producing graduates with global competitiveness. This time, 12 selected students will participate in the prestigious International Student Mobility program at INTI International University, Malaysia, which will take place from January 6 to May 11, 2025. Previously, the Mechanical Engineering program at UMM and INTI Malaysia had also established cooperation in faculty exchange and research collaboration.
The official release event was held on Thursday, December 26, at the UMM campus, attended by the Vice Rector IV of UMM, Muhamad Salis Yuniardi, M.Psi., Ph.D., and the Head of the International Relations Office, Dr. Ir. Listiari Hendraningsih, MP. During the ceremony, Salis encouraged the students participating in the program to make the most of the opportunities available.

"This activity is a great opportunity to develop yourself and broaden your horizons. The challenges you face abroad will be valuable experiences that shape your character. Be confident, optimistic, and stay humble. Uphold the good name of your almamater and show that UMM students are capable of competing at the international level," he advised.
On the other hand, the Head of IRO, Listiari, added that this program opens doors for students to build a global network. It provides an opportunity to establish strong connections with various countries and collaborate to create new innovations for society.
"Learn about cultural diversity and create constructive connections. Be active, but remain wise in your interactions. Uphold the integrity of being a UMM student and ensure that you follow all regulations while in Malaysia. I believe this experience will have a positive impact not only on you but also on the future development of UMM," she shared with great optimism.
A similar message was conveyed by Ir. Iis Siti Aisyah, MT., Ph.D. IPM. She emphasized that this program is a tangible representation of the internationalization strategy for the Mechanical Engineering program at UMM. It is an important step in preparing students to face global challenges. "We want UMM's Mechanical Engineering students to excel not only academically but also to have international experiences that enrich their competencies. I hope you will inspire other students and bring significant benefits to this study program," she explained.

The students participating in the program also expressed their gratitude for this extraordinary opportunity. They are committed to giving their best while participating in the program at INTI, Malaysia.
