The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) again held the Sharing for the Nation agenda. This time the UMM White Campus visited the Class I Blitar Children's Special Development Institute (LPKA) last Friday (10/6). Sending two flagship cars, Mobil Bioskop Keliling (Bioling) and Mobil Pintar, UMM provides various books that can be read and fun games. In addition, it also provides entertainment and education related to language introduction and public speaking classes.

On that occasion, UMM donated a book so that LPKA children could spend time reading. Interestingly, several international students helped and provided fun games.

Head of LPKA Blitar Development Section Andik Ariawan welcomed the educational visit by UMM. Previously, many White Campus students had come to serve, assist, and conduct research at the LPKA.

"There are friends from Social Welfare Study Program to Psychology Study Program. So, the relationship between LPKA and UMM has been established for a long time," he said.

He also said that several children continued their studies at UMM after spending time at LPKA. So Andik urges the children not to be discouraged and to continue to explore their potential.

"Everyone has the same opportunity. So, friends, you have to be enthusiastic about learning to reach your dreams," he said.

On the other hand, UMM Activity Coordinator M. Isnaini said this activity aimed at providing education and literacy. In addition, it also encourages interest in reading and the curiosity of LPKA children.

It also deliberately invites international students to join so LPKA children can get along with foreigners. That way, they can get to know each other and get to know each other.

This activity is part of a long series of UMM Sharing for the Country programs. Previously, the White Campus had visited the Men's Correctional Institution (Lapas), held a series of events at the Malang Women's Prison, and helped and entertained residents of nursing homes. Don't miss giving games at the Foundation for the Development of Children with Disabilities (YPAC) some time ago.

"This is our effort to provide education to those in need. Hopefully, it can continue to be implemented and be able to spread benefits to others," he concluded. (cdr/wil)
