Because of Reputation, Aussie Consul General is Attracted to UMM

A good reputation of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) made Consulate General of Australia, Chris Barnes, to visit University which is known as White Campus, on Monday (5/3). During the visit, Chris went to #AussieBanget Corner located in UMM Central Library area.
Chris was not just looking around, but also conducting dialogue with the UMM academic communites who had studied in the Kangaroos country .
"Study hard, dream big, reach for the star," Chris's message to UMM students who want to study in Australia.
As Consul General of Australia in East Java, Chris said that cooperation with Indonesia is one of the goals. For Chris, the best cooperation is through education by exchange of students, lecturers and staff.
"Not only Indonesians who studying in Australia, but also more Australians studying in Indonesia, especially here (red: UMM)," Chris concluded.
The expectation of more cooperation was agreed by the Rector of UMM, Fauzan.
"The strategic partnership that UMM and Australia have established is the Australian Consortium For In Country Indonesia Studies (ACICIS) program," Fauzan said.
The Australian Corner or #AussieBanget Corner UMM not only provides a wide range of Australian scholarship books and information. Furthermore, AussieBanget Corner also facilitates the academic community and the general public to access the Australian national digital library.
