University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) celebrates Indonesian Independence day 73th by holding campus cleaning on Saturday (11/8). Rector UMM, Fauzan conveyed that this activity was cnducted in order to make UMM community care more about the environment. It is expected that UMM becomes a very nice place, clean, optimistic, and full of spirit. Fauzan said, “In 2018/2019, our campus will be nicer and good spot to take selfie”.
Rector handed cleaning equipment to the cleaning service team, then they handed those equipment to the Head of Bureaus, the deans, and staffs. This is as a symbol that campus cleanness is the responsibility of all academic communities, not only the cleaning service team.
Fauzan also revealed that this activity will be held every Saturday. After that, there will be exercises. “We will have an exercise, so we will stay healthy. Let’s show the optimistic of UMM”. (lus)
