Appreciation for Best students who passed UMM test 2018 |
The leaders of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) held a meeting with the parents of new students Period I academic year 2018/2019 to maintain the silaturrahim tradition on Sunday (27/5).
There were 3000 parents attending the meeting and listening to Fauzan, the Rector of UMM. Fauzan conveyed that silaturrahim could make people have a long life and sustenance. This meeting was the right time for parents to know more about UMM. Fauzan said, “The purpose of silaturrahim is giving a chance to parents to know more about UMM”.
UMM warmly welcomes parents who want to get information and communication. Fauzan explained some regulations that must be obeyed by UMM students, such as no fight, no criminal action, no alcohol and drugs, and no immoral actions.
Fauzan asked the parents to monitor their children. Parents should support them to be active in extracurricular, organizations, or student activity units. Fauzan said, “We hope that all of you support your children to join student activities. It will be better if they have another activity after attending class”.
At the end, Fauzan revealed that there are approximately 600 students who get achievements regionally, nationally, and internationally every year. UMM appreciates their achievements by giving scholarship. “Those achievements are appreciated by giving them discount for tuition fee or even they are free for the tuition fee”. (lus)
