President Director and CEO IndosatM2 Hari Sukmono gave a general lecture at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang Theater Dome (UMM) on Monday (3/18) morning. The presence of the head of the internet and multimedia company was a follow-up to the collaboration between UMM and IndosatM2 some time ago. On this occasion, Hari gave lectures on digital literacy to Informatics Engineering students at the Faculty of Engineering UMM.
Mentioned Hari, digital literacy must be announced because most internet users in Indonesia were still digitally illiterate to get the full potential of the Internet. "Rapid technological progress needs to be balanced by the intelligence of users; users must have the ability to identify the reliability of online sources and combat fake news, hoaxes, and discrimination online, "he said.
Internet, continued Hari, had changed the world that humans live in today, including changing the way we work. Furthermore, digital literacy was very important for future work. "No less important, in digital literacy, internet users need to understand the importance of protecting personal information and personal details so that they are not misused by irresponsible people," said Hari.

Digital literacy consisted of three activities. They were finding, evaluating and consuming digital content; create digital content, and communicate or share it. In another sense was the ability to use information and communication technology to find, evaluate, create, and communicate that required cognitive and technical skills.
Not yet finished Industry 4.0, the world began to be confronted with Industry 5.0 or the era of smart society. Universities as educational institutions must also enter and begin adjusting to this era. Thus Smart University did not only supports the teaching and learning process but also supported the decision support system (DSS) that helped a leader make decisions.

"Because the control range of the leaders increasingly widespread, of course time and decision-making are needed very quickly. So this system will be very helpful and the development of the world outside the campus is also very fast, so we also have to make adjustments, "said Dr. Ahmad Mubin, ST., MT. Dean of Faculty of Engineering at the opening of the event which themed "Progress Millennial Startup".
The collaboration included support for the implementation and development of vocational education with providing teaching staff; development and improvement of ICT network infrastructure; preparation of vocational education curriculum; preparing a place for fieldwork/apprenticeship practice; providing supervisors and final assignments, providing laboratories; and the development of science and technology and science.
