Under UMM Guidance, Akbid of Muhammadiyah Madiun Undertakes Regeneration

Midwifery Academy (Akbid) of Muhammadiyah Madiun has just regenerated. Previous director Faqih Ruhyanudin, M.Kep. Sp.Kep.KMB who had served during 2013-2017 was replaced by Edy Purwanto, MNg who would lead for the 2017-2019 period.

Akbid of Muhammadiyah Madiun is a guided campus of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Therefore, Faqih Ruhyanudin currently is choosen to be the dean of Health Sciences Faculty (FIKES) of UMM for the 2017-2021 period.

Meanwhile, new director, Edy Purwanto, also has an interesting profile. Edy graduated from School of Nursing, Flinders University, Australia. Hopefully, Edy could continue the achievement of the previous director and ready to accelerate in bringing Akbid of Muhammadiyah Madiun to be more better.

The Akbid's new director inauguration was conducted on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the 2nd Floor of Akbid Building, it was attended by Muhammadiyah central executive board, Daily Excecutive Agency, the Islamic Hospital (RSI) Director of Aisyiyah Madiun, Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PDM ) of Madiun, as well as all the civitas academics.

Since two years ago, Madiun Akbid has became one of the Muhammadiyah business charity under guidance of UMM . UMM Rector Fauzan for two years has assigned the best human resources from Health Sciences Faculty of UMM to serve as the AUM director. It started from Faqih in 2013-2017 period which was followed by Edy for the 2017-2021 period.

Faqih conveyed that Akbid Muhammadiyah was an asset belonging to muhammadiyah that should be maintained, nurtured and grown to be more better.

Meanwhile, BPH head Sugianto hoped that the director replacing and inauguration would strengthen the academic, quality of human resources, and financial management in this campus.

Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah's Directorate of Higher Education representative Muhammad Samsudin, M.Pd said that Muhammadiyah Higher Education hopefully become a great university in the midst of Kemenristek policy to improve quality of universities in Indonesia. (Naz)
