“Youth today are unique; you have greater potential to develop technologies like solar panels, wind turbines, and more efficient energy storage batteries. You can also discover new ways to utilize clean energy with lower costs and minimal environmental impact,” she stated.

Interestingly, UMM has already directly implemented technologies to optimize new renewable energy. One example is the development and establishment of Microhydro Power Plants (PLTMH) and the optimization of solar panels as alternative electricity sources in various sectors.

She also stressed that young people could take on roles in research and education. Students involved in universities or research institutions can help create significant breakthroughs. Their research can focus on developing more advanced renewable energy technologies and integrating clean energy into the national electricity grid.

“Moreover, youth have a role in raising public awareness about the importance of energy transition through innovative outreach programs, such as those currently run by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, including Patriot Energi and Gerilya (Solar Power Initiative Movement),” she added.
