Since the lack of recycling efforts to environmental destruction, the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) student team utilized soybean skin waste to Tanjungtani Village, Prambon District, Nganjuk Regency. This service is carried out through the Student Creativity-Community Service Program (PKM-PM), which has passed funding from the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) last May.

Production waste of soybean husks is not used correctly. Siti Mariyatul Qibliyah as the group leader said that Tanjungtani Village has an opportunity for residents then tried to take advantage of the soybean husk.

As for the PKM-PM project, they have been involved 18 times in various activities. Start from how to use soybean husks until they become shredded and get product labels—also taught how to distribute products, test content to government agencies, market products both online and offline and how to calculate income and expense accounting.

Finally, Siti, who is also a student of the Biology Education Study Program, hopes to continue working together and continue the production of shredded meat to create economic independence for Tanjungtani village. (haq/wil)
