To make a better world, humans must focus on collaboration instead of competition, as emphasized by the Great Ambassador of Poland for Indonesia, HE. Mrs. Beata Stoczynka at the 107th graduation ceremony of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Thousands of graduates attended the graduation commencement held on February 23, 2023.
Furtherly explaining, the Great Ambassador called Beata says that Indonesia and Poland have several similarities. In her view, Indonesia is a leading country in Southeast Asia and a great country is part of ASEAN, so is Polandia, which is one of the Member States of the European Union.
“Additionally, another similarity is the country’s people. Indonesian people are friendly and open to others. Therefore, while I was working in Indonesia for approximately 5 years, I always tried to get closer with people around me,” said Beata.
Furthermore, Beata said that her visit to the White Campus aimed to collaborate with the university in education. She expects it to be able to provide more opportunities to Indonesian students to continue their studies in Poland. It can be in humanity, engineering, and health fields. Beata did not also forget to advise the UMM graduates.

“Today is an important moment in your life. You must be proud because graduating from an internationally reputed campus. However, this moment is actually the start of your journey; then never stop learning and always try to win a competition,” asserted Beata.
She thinks that education is an essential thing, but there is something more crucial: appreciating and respecting others wherever we are. Hence, it will be easy to reach the successful path. “I learn a lot about tolerance in diversity in Indonesia, which has the values of Pancasila in it. I expect you also to learn from that. I wish you to be successful and your dreams to come true,” hoped Beata.

On the other hand, the Rector of UMM, Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd. advised the graduates to be successful and excellent people in the future. He feels that UMM alumni must have unusual skills, so that it will easily facilitate them to face the outer uncertainties of the world.
“Therefore, if you have not felt enough of studying yet and still want to study, we have provided the Center of Excellence (CoE) program, which is field of study-based. This is our effort to generate superior and professional human resources.” ended Fauzan. (imh/zak/wil)
