Exporting presents an opportunity to open new markets abroad. This way, products can be widely recognized and not limited to just one's country. In Indonesia, exports are still predominantly dominated by products from large companies, accounting for around 86%. Meanwhile, products from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) only make up 14% of the total. This is due to a lack of knowledge about exports.

In response to this issue, Aprilisfiya Handayani, a student from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) majoring in Accounting, and Jovanka Ferico Firdauzi, a student from the Development Economics Program, developed an application called 'easy export.' This brilliant idea earned them the 1st Honorable Mention in the National Essay Competition at Gorontalo State University, focusing on the Role of Youth in Indonesia in the 5.0 Era, last October.

Prilis, Aprilisfiya Handayani's nickname, revealed that easy export is an application that will be integrated with IoT (Internet of Things) technology, enabling data transmission without computer or human intervention. This innovation is specifically designed to help exporters easily export local Indonesian products.

"Those who will be involved in the application are business owners, logistics buyers, and the government," she said.

There are several advantages to using this application. Firstly, it optimizes the export process, providing business owners with ease in export procedures, from documentation to shipment tracking. Secondly, it enhances efficiency in the export process. Thirdly, it facilitates market expansion, allowing exporters to identify new market opportunities through the analytical features offered by this application.

"In the prototype of this application, there will be three main features. Those are real-time tracking, document management, and data reporting, one of which is data analysis to assist users in making informed decisions," she continued.

Prilis mentioned that users need to register their companies first in the application's registration phase. Subsequently, they configure the settings and start exporting by uploading product details, export requirements, and other necessary information.

Within the application, there are six main features on the home screen, such as an export library containing export tips and seminars related to the export industry. There is also an official buyer section, providing official buyers worldwide. Additionally, there is an export communication forum serving as a platform for sharing knowledge between newcomer and expert exporters.

"Furthermore, there is a logistics feature, where users can choose the shipping route, whether by land, sea, or air. It also includes warehouses for temporary storage of goods," she added.

Another crucial and exciting feature is legalization, which includes document templates. Lastly, there is a market intelligence feature that provides notifications and integrates information related to market niches based on desired commodities. "In the future, we will collaborate with IT professionals to further develop our idea. Our hope is that this application can optimize SME businesses in Indonesia," she concluded. (Nov/Wil/Fajr)
