The appearance of Fatin Shidqia Lubis on New Students Closing Ceremony (Pesmaba) of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) 2017 on Thursday (7/9) at UMM Dome became a special gift for Pesmaba which was held for four days, 4-7 August, 2017.
Fatin Shidqia Lubis sang 8 songs, including hits “Dia Dia Dia”, “Aku Memilih Setia”, and song cover of Bruno Mars “Grenade”. Fatin also shared her experiences to seize her dreams. She told that her persistence and supports from parents are two factors that made her easier to reach her dreams.
After the show, Fatin said that she was happy to be given a chance performing at UMM. This is her first show in UMM. She also said the enthusiasm of students made her perform optimally. “It was so fun. I wanna do it again and don’t want to end the songs. I am very happy. I hope I have another chance to perform at UMM again”.
After the event was over, Fatin took pictures in one of the campus parks with the letters “Love UMM”. She hopes that new students can enjoy the campus environment and increase the quality of theirselves. She said” Hopefully, they feel at home when they are in campus, meeting good people, and UMM can educate its students to be better people”.
Just like previous years, there was also announcement about the winners of the best Pesmaba organizers in faculty level. The best Pesmaba organizer of this year is Faculty of Psychology with 851 points. The second winner is Health Faculty with 829,50 points, and the third winner is Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Besides, the was also announcement about the winner of photo contest with hashtag #JadiMabaUMM, clog competition with hashtag #BanggaJadiMabaFakultasmu and live report photo competition with hashtag #PesmabaUMM2017 (lus)
