VARIOUS agricultural products were displayed by the students of Faculty of Agriculture and Husbandry (FPP) of University of Muhammadiyah malang (UMM) in the exhibition of the 43rd Agriculcural Activiy day in UMM Dome on Tuesday (6/10). There were many quality food products from 38 regencies in East Java.
What have been the center of attention were the hydroponic plants, farm-land measuring drone and various products of FPP University Farm. “We are so glad celebrating this agricultural activity day. Now we know a lot of food products from whole East Java,” said Eva, a student of FPP Food Technology Science program.
The Assisstant of Economy and Development of East Java Provincial Government, Ir. Hadi Prasetyo, M.E., expressed his support for the farmers and those involved in in agribusiness and also encouraged them to develop the agricultural products. “The ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) is in sight. We have to be better than other countries, especially in agriculture and agribusiness,” he said.
The UMM Vice Rector II, Drs. Fauzan M.Pd. also expressed hi support. In his speech, he expressed his gratitute for the commitee due to the selection of UMM as the venue. “This can motivate our students in increasing the agricultural products in suburban areas especially when they are on the Community Service Program (KKN), where they can share their knowledge,” he said.
