The effort of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) to form character of qualified educator is serious.
This was proven by creativity of students and lecturers which appreciated literature by holding poetry Musical performance. The lecturer of Poetry Musicalization, Hari Sunaryo argued through this event the students were invited to be able to apprciate poetry.
"This activity is aimed to train students to enjoy inner reflection of poetry combined with music," said Hari.
Poetry is usually read. However, on this occasion, there was music. This creativity was an effort to create Indonesian Language and Literature teacher who has high appreciation on the literary works.
"This is absolute, because they are prospective teachers of Indonesian Language and Literature. So, this stakes are their professionalism when guarding his students," he said.
The final assignment of Poetry Musicalation Course are 40 students' musical works at UMM Drama Laboratory, Monday to Friday (15-19 / 1).
Although, Hari admitted that the various stages of its making were not easy, but the cooperation and tenacity provided a lesson for all involved.
"The totality of teaching musical poetry can not be forgotten. With their spirit, we become more confident," concluded Hari. (ard)
