Taking place solemnly in the courtyard of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Eid prayer is the theme of tausyiah Berdamai with All Umat. The event led directly by the UMM Rector, Fauzan, was opened with welcome and greeting of Eid al-Fitr by the Rector.
"On this very solemn morning, allow me to be a representative of UMM to convey all the forms of our mistakes during our work," said the man from Kediri.
Eid prayer activities were followed by a short tausyiah delivered by Faridi, one of the lecturers of the Faculty of Islam (FAI) UMM.
"Tausyiah that I will bring today is related how we maintain our relationship with our fellow human beings," he explained in the opening of the sermon.
Faridi gave a real picture of how humans should be, especially Muslims who have been forged for a month in Ramadan to keep fighting to build peace.
"We are Muslims who always teach the beauty, so we do not have to fight for peace as well," he explained.
Being a good Muslim is not easy to create divisions in public life. One of them is when choosing a leader, like what was ordered the Prophet Muhammad.
"The Prophet reminded that a good leader will always carry the peace mission," he concluded.
After enjoying the solemnity in the middle of the congregational prayer, as a form of gratitude and preserve the habit in establishing friendship, all UMM staff and lecturers are placed on the Open House agenda which is also attended by UMM Rector.
"It feels great to be able to join you all in this fitri day to celebrate the win," Fauzan said.
Silaturahim became one of the most important parts of UMM to attach a sense of intimacy and kinship. In a family atmosphere, enjoying a special feast of Hari Raya Idul Fitri also becomes an obligation to continually remember the favor of Him. (ard)
