The group of 16 Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Real Workshops (KKN) in Pandanrejo, Pagak District, Malang Regency had an opportunity to take part in Gema Desa activities on Wednesday (1/16).

Gema Desaitself was taken from the word " Gerakan Membangun Desa". Vice-regent of Malang Drs. H.M. Sanusi MM with his wife Hj. Anis Zaida also visited several villages in Pagak District.
"Gema Desa aims to increase economic growth in an effort to reduce poverty through optimizing tourism potential, and increasing environmental carrying capacity," said M. Sholaudin as the group coordinator.
The event was not only attended by the Vice-regent of Malang, but also attended by several Government staffs of Malang District including the DPRD, Pagak sub-district head, Dandim, and the Head of Pandanrejo Village.
"Every village has its own advantages to be developed, therefore, together with the government, villagers and students, we want to support and invite the community to build a village together," Sholaudin said.
The activities held in Pandanrejo Village included the visiting of the Vice-regent of Malang to the production site of Emping Melinjo, Malang's special art performances, and tree planting by the Vice-regent of Malang.
Emping Melinjowas one of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that was promoted in this village. The art presented was Reog Ponorogo and Jaran Kepang, Sekar Singo Budhoyo (SSB).
In addition to filling out the event, it had a purpose to introduce the typical art of Pandanrejo Village led by Anang Setya Aji. Anang is a native of Pandanrejo Village and is the chairman of the Sekar Singo Budhoyo studio.
"Tree planting aims to increase awareness of citizens to protect the environment and introduce tourism in Pandanrejo Village, it is Bidadari Valley," Anang said on the sidelines of the event. (Win)
