Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM) held its 112th graduation ceremony this February. Among the graduates, there emerged a student with a plethora of achievements. She is Ike Trisdayanti, a graduate of the Aquaculture Program Study, who successfully earned the title of outstanding graduate. It is undeniable that during her studies, Ike achieved various awards and championships. One of her notable achievements was winning a gold medal in the poster category and a bronze medal in the presentation category at the National Student Scientific Week (Pimnas) in 2023.
"At Pimnas 2023, two of my titles qualified for Pimnas and won medals. That victory also allowed me to graduate without a thesis and finally be able to graduate successfully," explained the Aquaculture major graduate.
Both of her research projects discussed the same aspect, which is the prevention of shrimp diseases with bacteriophages. This includes preventing AHPND (Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease), which attacks shrimps, causing digestive organs such as the midgut, hepatopancreas, and stomach to become pale and empty.

The graduate from Blitar was born into a modest family. Her father runs a small coffee shop in their hometown, while her mother is a housewife. Despite this, she had the willpower to earn a bachelor's degree and excel academically. She wanted to prove that, starting from a coffee shop, she could achieve excellence and bring glory to the White Campus.
According to Ike, studying at UMM opened many doors for her. She could easily channel her potential, such as through involvement in various student activity units (UKM), department associations, and others. During her student years, she served as the general secretary of the Aquaculture Department Student Association (HMJ). She also actively engaged in research and assisted professors by being a laboratory assistant in several courses, as well as in biotechnology.

She had to juggle research, laboratory assistance, and organizational activities. She emphasized that setting priorities was crucial.
