Formerly an ojek online (ojol) (trans: online motorcycle driver), and having a dream to become a pioneer of the shrimp business in Bojonegoro. That process has been experienced by one of the outstanding graduates of Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Muhammad Agill Thevany. His shrimp business results from implementing the Center of Excellence (CoE) Shrimp farming expertise class, which is an actual implementation of the government program, namely Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). The Aquaculture Study Program student also completed his undergraduate studies with a very satisfying Grade Point Average.

Agill, as he is known, said he became an ojol driver to increase his allowance. In addition, he also tries to ease his parents' financial burden in supporting his life in Malang. "I have been doing ojol since before college started. It just happened that I had some free time while waiting for the results of the college admission announcement. Moreover, I needed money, so for several moments, then I tried to register as an ojol. Alhamdulillah, I was accepted and continued as a student," said Agill.

Furthermore, the young man from Bojonegoro is also interested in developing shrimp farming in his hometown. The shrimp commodity in Bojonegoro is limited, maybe even nonexistent. From there, he saw a great opportunity that he could explore. Moreover, he was directed by the UMM Aquaculture study program to intern at a large shrimp farming company.

According to him, he knew many things related to the shrimp business during the internship. He was taught the initial process of preparation until he could finally harvest. "I learned many types of shrimp and what are good for sale. From that experience and knowledge, I started a business near my home in Bojonegoro," he explained.

His shrimp farming is relatively new. He has only harvested shrimp once, and it was pretty profitable. Especially in his area, the price of shrimp in the market reaches Rp60,000 for one kilo.

"I am lucky because my parents always support whatever I want, including this shrimp farming business. So far, there are four shrimp ponds at home. The type of shrimp I grow is vaname, because it has a lower age of cultivation, faster growth, and is stronger against disease," Agill explained.

Lastly, the young man born in 2001 hopes that the knowledge he gained in college will not just be a breeze. But it can encourage him to benefit others. At least to the closest people in his village."Hopefully, my shrimp business will progress so that I can create employment and help others. Graduates do not always have to work in offices or tall buildings, but can also build their regions for the better. Even if the changes made are small in scope," he concluded. (put/zak/wil)
