Batch III test of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was held on Monday (8/20). The total number of applicants in this Batch III test reached 3,079 new students (camaba).
Running from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30, a written and interview test ended at 12:30 WIB.
"For the announcement will be on August 24," said the Head of the New Student Admissions Unit (PMB), Dr. Saiman, M.Sc.
Meanwhile, UMM Vice Rector 1, Prof. Dr. Syamsul Arifin, said that UMM set a different quota at each new student admission.
For Batch I, there was a quota of 30 percent, Batch II was 40-50 percent and Batch III was15-20 percent. Previously, Batch II became the highest number of registrants.
"The total number of registrants increased by 35 percent from last year. This is because UMM has tried to implement Kemenristekdikti standards in order to become the best tertiary institution. For example, in terms of our human resources, competence and qualification also scontinue to run. We also continue to send lecturers to doctoral level. Then, we also facilitate research. In the future, UMM will always look for solutions to problems in the disruption era so that more people will register to UMM," he explained.
Meanwhile, one of the candidates from Kediri, Mita Yuliana, hoped that the Batch III test she was followed could produce good results.
"I took a major in Law. Even though I was afraid of and disappointing my parents, I remained optimistic and convinced that I will be accepted," she said.
The Third Batch Test was opened for all study programs (Prodi) from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty Islamic and Faculty of Economics and Business except Faculty of Medicine.
The total participants who will be accepted as a whole Batch I, II and III are 6,000-7,000 students. (ard)
