The Regent of Donggala, Kasman and the Rector of UMM, Fauzan when seeing how PLTMH is operated |
Some regions are interested in the concept of energy managemaent at University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). One of those is the government of Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. The Regent of Donggala Regency, Drs.Kasman SH and his entourage visited UMM and were welcomed by the Rector of UMM, Fauzan last Tuesday (18/7).
They are interested in the energy management which is Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH). They did not only see how PLTMH is operated but also will make cooperation with UMM in the field of education. UMM is known as a pioneer of renewable energy campus.
Kasman said, “Donggala is planned to be a tourism city in the next few months. It is hoped that it will give significant impact to the economic improvement of the society. But, it has to be supported by the availability of good infrastructures such as in energy sector.”
He hoped that the energy management of UMM as the pioneer of renewable energy (EBT) could be applied in Donggala Regency. The development of services by boosting tourism sector will improve the economic of society”.
He also believed that the planning about Donggala becomes a tourism city in August 2017 will run well. The government of Donggala regency has panned and provided a budget for the implementation of the plan. Donggala regency will not only learn about the management and the implementation of PLTMH but also will make other cooperation with UMM especially in education field. (lus)
