The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) won the Jatim Bangkit Award from the East Java Provincial Government, on October 18th. It was not separated from UMM's swift contribution in anticipating and handling the COVID-19 pandemic some time ago. The UMM Chancellor was present in Surabaya to receive the award in the category of educational institutions with support for the best recovery from the impact of the pandemic.

Likewise, by providing a special building for isolation for COVID-19 patients. The volunteers from UMM also have a positive impact on alleviating the community during a pandemic.

During the ceremony, the Governor of East Java Dr. Khofifah Indar Parawansa said that the event also emphasized that no success can be done alone. There needs to be mutual assistance and cooperation, including in handling Covid-19. As well as aspects of handling to accelerate economic growth.
