Indeed, Indonesia is a nation capable and sufficient in all aspects. Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia, emphasized this in front of thousands of students at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) on September 27. He gave a stadium general, motivation, and several strategies to make Indonesia a dignified nation. He also signed a collaboration between the Indonesian Ministry of Defense and UMM.
Prabowo, his nickname, emphasized that the idea of becoming a nation of sufficiency has been held firmly by our ancestors for hundreds of years. It was also the dream that the heroes, including Muhammadiyah leaders, wanted to achieve. According to him, education is an important key to achieving it.

Indonesia aims to achieve the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045 through education. Moreover, the Indonesian economy is increasingly stable. In its development, several factors maintain the stability of the Indonesian economy. By implementing the concept of the Pancasila economy that prioritizes religious aspects, realizing national unity, upholding humanity, siding with national interests, egalitarianism, populism, and social justice.
"Many people have predicted that Indonesia will become one of the countries with the highest economy. It might be among the top five in the world," Prabowo said.
Seventeen strategies can encourage Indonesia to reach that goal. Some are food self-sufficiency, strengthening national defence, continuing downstream and industrialization, and political, legal and bureaucratic reforms. The same goes for environmental guarantees, energy self-sufficiency, eradicating corruption, and others.
In addition, Prabowo also appreciated UMM for taking a good initiative through the breakthrough of the Center of Excellence and Professor of Community Development Drivers. According to him, this is a logical strategy for overcoming the difficulties and problems experienced by the community. He is confident that these efforts can be developed further and that UMM's contribution can grow broadly for the good of the state and nation.
In his presentation, Prabowo mentioned that Muhammadiyah has contributed significantly to producing national figures. From the father of proclamation Soekarno, the father of national development Soeharto, to the TNI Commander General Soedirman. In addition, he also expressed his high appreciation for the White Campus, which has been able to produce many competent academics and practitioners.
Therefore, he advised all the students always to work hard to make the nation and state proud. He believes Indonesian youths, including UMM students, will someday become leaders and hold a significant mandate. "When that moment comes, I advise you not to betray the people, become corruptors, or become foreign lackeys. I consider you as my children, so you must be able to provide work and innovation. Make this country and nation proud," he said.

This aligns with the speech of the UMM Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd. Currently, the UMM campus has a Community Development Activator Professor Program, which aims to improve the community's quality of life towards a better direction. This program is run by utilizing a social ecosystem based on the potentials possessed by social groups in various regions in Indonesia.
"Our professors are expected to work with the local government and related agencies to benefit the community, starting from energy, agriculture, livestock, and other sectors.
