UMM team won 1st place in the PSSI Persema Internal Football Match

The internal matches of Persema PSSI Malang Raya level for league 1 have ended from November 5 to November 26. In the competition, the team from University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) won 1st place after defeating the team from Brawijaya University(UB) with a score 2-0 in the final round.

The series of matches were held in five different fields, they are the Mulyorejo field, the Porma Sawojajar field, the Bakalan Krajan field, the Kedung Kandang Corn field, and the Tunjung Sekar field. For league 1 followed by 14 teams from all Malang regions, both regencies and cities.

Renold Septian, as the head of the Football Student Activity Unit, admitted that he had difficulty preparing this match team. "Preparation for the match is quite tough because there are not many UKM members who are currently in Malang, this makes it difficult for us to choose members," he said.

Despite encountering difficulties, the White Campus Football team was able to compete to beat the opposition team by conceding only one goal from all matches.

In addition, even though it was conducted in the midst of a pandemic, the Covid-19 health protocol was still well implemented. "We are advised that the players from each representative to do test before the match, limit the number of spectators, and require people except players to wear masks," said the UMM team coach, Dr. Haris Thofly, SH., M.Hum.
