Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Appreciates Muhammadiyah Volunteers' Role in Helping the Rohingya Victims

Muhammadiyah Volunteer National Muhammadiyah initiated by Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC) on December 1-4, 2017 at University of Muhammadiyah Malang wasstarted with Natonaliyu Gathering with Chairman of MPR Republic of IndonesiaZulkifli Hasan on Friday morning (1/12) in hall UMM Dome.

This event is also as as a socialization of Four pillars of the Republic of Indonesia. Zulkifli said that he is so proud of MDMC whose volunteers helped Rohingya victims in Bangladesh.

Zulkifli said, "MDMC is cool, while the others have not got the Rohingya yet,  they've got there first,". He also asked all people to care more about socialissues happened around them.
He continued saying, "Volunteering can be done by anyone.Indonesian education will not improve if the community does not care,so it is necessary forall peopleto take the role".

Furthermore, Zulkifli stated that Muhammadiyah has been implementing the points of Four Pillars of Nationality Republic of Indonesia such as Pancasila through organizations and institutions such as MDMC.

Zulkifli said, "Pancasila is the unifying tool and the behavior that unites us, being volunteer, devoted, and having a sense of the same destiny is a reflection of the attitude of Pancasila that is owned by all MDMC members," this activity is followed by the opening of National Jamboree event which was officially opened by the Minister of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia, Muhadjir Effendy.
