In an effort to build a nation, it is necessary for humans to have noble characters who are pious. This was conveyed by the Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive, dr. Agus Taufiqurrohman, Sp.S., M.Kes. in the Eid al-Fitr prayer sermon held by the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) on Monday (2/5). Followed by hundreds of worshipers, the id prayer is still implementing health protocols so that the pandemic does not spread again.

Furthermore, Agus explained that when you become a pious person, life should also be in accordance with the guidelines. That is what has been arranged by Allah SWT and exemplified by Rasulullah SAW.

the presence of a pious person must also have a positive impact. Spread the word and benefit others. "Because the best people are those who are most beneficial to others," he said.

The attitude of the muttaqin should also be accepted with noble character. Especially in an era where morality has become a crisis that continues to be complained about.

“Nowadays, people easily blaspheme others. People are also very easy to violate religious values in order to achieve their dream goals. It was as if the principle of justifying all means had become commonplace. I think this is far from the moral and national values inherited by our predecessors," he added.

Therefore, one solution that Agus emphasizes is to rebuild society with noble character. That way, the moral crisis can be handled and at the same time can help advance the Indonesian nation.

"If the people of a country fear God, then God promises and gives various blessings from the heavens and the earth," concluded Agus.
