There are many great and inspiring Indonesian young women. It was reflected in the joint event Sarahehan Seni Bertutur held by UMM Communication Studies Lab. and Kotex at the Engineering Faculty Hall on Monday (1/12).
The theme of the event is “Hai Wanita Muda Tunjukkan Inovasimu” and is expected to appreciate those inspiring young women in the field of art, entrepreneur, community empowerment, and environmental conservation. “We want to invite all Indonesian women to do anything in their youth, one of them is by participating in this storytelling workshop which then will be applied in the story telling record competition through videos and photos,” said Ami Damayanti, Marketing Executive of PT Kimberly-Clark Indonesia.
One of the agendas that successfully attracted the workshop participant was the script writing, directing, making visual arts, and storytelling performance materials by Kandi Windoe, a communication practitioner, and Azis Franklin, a storyteller. The participants can apply their storytelling skill right after the workshop through the video and photo contest of “Inspiring Young Women”.
In this story recording competence, the participants are to tell about the process starting from the ideas, visions and missions, also the challenges. The videos and photos recording competence format can be individual or group and then they will upload their works through social media starting from December 1, 2015 to January 31, 2016.
“UMM gives positive response about the cooperation proposed by Kotex. This event will encourage the students to upgrade their art skill,” said Isnani Dzuhrina, secretary of Communication Studies Lab. (nov/han/t_rfd)
