THE UNIVERSITY of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) regained the trust of Metro Tv news station for the performance of Mata Najwa on Stage. 110 UMM students were involved in the committee to help succeeding the events which was initially held outside the campus. Previously, in Malang, the event was always held in UMM Dome. This occasion, it will be held in Brantas Stadium, Batu, Friday-Saturday (2-3/10).
This is the fourth times of Metro Tv cooperating with UMM in performing its big program. The selection of UMM as partner in this event is due to the good cooperation between UMM and Metro Tv in recent years. “The cooperation was started from the Road show of Eagle Awards (2011), Wideshot Metro Tv Goes to Campus (2012), Mata Najwa on Campus (2013), and Road Show of Eagle Junior on early September 2015,” said the Chairman of UMM Public Relation, Nasrullah.
The first event, Meet and Greet with Najwa Shihab and the author of “Mantra Layar Kaca” Fenty Effendy, will be initially held at UMM Dome Theater room on Thursday, (1/10). Those who interested in participating the event can register themselves by purchasing the book “Mantra Layar Kaca” in the amount of IDR50.000. The registration can be done in the book-selling booth in front of UMM Central Library or by contacting the comittee on 0856-4941-1419. The participants will join the session of taking pictures with Najwa and getting the Najwa’s autograph.
Moreover, on the second day, Friday (2/10), there will be journalistic training themed “Jurnalista”. Several senior journalists such as Zelda Savitri, Robert Harianto, Marializia Hasni, Budiyanto, and the chief editor of Metro TV Putra Nababan will be the keynote speakers.
On the last day, Saturday (3/10), the top event of Mata Najwa on Stage will be held on 18.00 to 22.00 WIB. Several public figures such as the Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, the Vice Governor of East Java Saifullah Yusuf, the celebrity Syahrini, the comedian Cak Lontong and the cultural observer Sujiwo Tejo will participate as the interviewees in the show. Moreover, to enliven the events, the band /rif and The Overtunes will also present their performances.
The staff of Event Off Air Metro Tv Agung Hartanto stated that there are more than 20.000 persons who have registered to join the show. “We just got new information from the management that there will be 30.000 tickets provided due to the enormous number of enthusiasts in Malang,” he informed.
He also added that this Mata Najwa on Stage is really special since it is the first time for the event to perform publicly in the evening time. “Previously, we always held the event in campus or indoor area. This is the first time we hold it on outdoor area,” said Agung.
