The Cultural Institute (LK) of Muhammadiyah Malang University (UMM) successfully held the grand final event of the Cultural Kaleidoscope on October 28 to commemorate Youth Pledge Day This event brought together finalists from high schools and vocational schools who competed in various competitions. Starting from regional dance creations, regional vocal creations, poetry reading, and musicalization, to digital batik design. There were even a variety of other interesting competitions such as vlogs and cultural arts photography, to calligraphy.
The event centered around the theme of cultural digitalization, aiming to instill a love for Indonesia's cultural heritage among the younger generation. Dr. Daroe Iswatiningsih, M.Si., the head of LK UMM, warmly welcomed the participants and expressed hope that this activity could encourage and remind the youth of the importance of culture today.

“This event is also part of the commemoration of Youth Pledge Day, an important moment that reminds us of the spirit of the youth in preserving national unity and culture. It emphasizes how young people can have the motivation to innovate for the nation,” she explained.
The enthusiasm of the participants was evident as Dr. Daroe praised the works to be showcased before the judges. She encouraged the participants to present their best efforts and reminded them to nurture their love for culture as a foundation for Indonesia’s golden generation in 2045.
The event is also expected to be a valuable opportunity for participants to express their love for culture. In addition, it also adds insight into preserving it.
Meanwhile, UMM’s Vice-Rector V, Prof. Dr. Tri Sulistyaningsih, M.Si., welcomed the participants' enthusiasm and praised LK UMM for organizing such a lively event. She urged the younger generation to continue honoring the nation’s culture and not to forget their cultural roots amid the rapidly evolving digital era.

In addition to the competitions, the event featured artistic performances that energized the atmosphere. Participants from various regions showcased works reflecting their love for their local cultures.
