UMM students won 2nd place in the National Tahfidz Competition

The encouraging news came back from the White Campus of Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM). This time, a student of the Nursing Study Program (Study Program), Ahmad Muhyiddin Ramadhani, won second place in the Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur'an (MHQ) competition in the Juz 30 category. In early May, the event was one of the 2022 Millennial Islamic Fair (MIF) series held at Public Health, Sriwijaya University, Palembang.

Long before the race, Ahmad, his nickname, had prepared a series of documents needed. Likewise, with improving the quality and quantity of memorization. Jam Muraja'ah also Ahmad added that memorization could be better and not easily forgotten.

"Do not forget, I also pray for parents' blessing because I believe it will facilitate and launch the race journey this time. Even by asking for advice and motivation from friends and lecturers, "said the student born in Tapak Tuan, Aceh.

Ahmad admitted that UMM's contribution to his victory was quite significant. The campus provides convenience in handling files, giving pocket money and rewards for the achievements that students achieve, in this case, Ahmad. The White Campus also contributed by accompanying Ahmad to improve his memorization he had.

He considered that the UMM White Campus always supported various student achievements. Not only academic but also non-academic. Ahmad had also won two other Characteristics while becoming a white campus student.

"The first one I won 1st place in MHQ Juz 30 Forisma Fikes UMM 2019. Then the second, I also won 3rd place Tahfidz Al Qur'an Juz 26-30 National level Avicenna Medical Competition 2020," continued Ahmad.

Although able to make the campus name proud, he admitted that he was a little nervous because many participants participated and became his rival. Moreover, those who participated came not only from Malang or East Java but came from various universities throughout Indonesia.

"Alhamdulillah, I remember and uphold my biggest motivation, namely to boast of my parents. I hope that my efforts to glorify the Koran will be able to deliver both of them to the paradise of Allah SWT, "he said.

Not to forget, he also advised that other students not be afraid to compete in various competitions. If you have talent, it's good to continue to develop it until it is proficient and able to participate in the permits. "Don't be afraid to lose. I often lose even more than to win.
